Air spinning technology

Air Jet Spinning is a production technology that uses high-speed airflow to stretch, condense fiber strips, and form yarn. It was developed in the early 1960s and is mainly used to produce short-fiber yarns. Open-end spinning technology has the advantages of high production efficiency, low cost, and simple equipment, and has gradually become an important spinning method in the textile industry.
The working principle of air-jet spinning is similar to that of vortex spinning. The main difference is that air-jet spinning uses continuous high-speed airflow, while vortex spinning uses rotating vortices. The specific process is as follows:
1. The fiber strip enters the air-jet spinning equipment through the feeding device.
2. The high-speed airflow stretches the fiber strips and disperses the fibers in the airflow.
3. The fiber's friction in the airflow, results in an electrostatic effect, causing the fibers to agglomerate with each other.
4. After condensing the fibers, they are guided through the yarn guide hook to form yarn.
5. The yarn is wound onto the drum under airflow to complete the spinning process.
Open-end spinning technology has the following advantages:
1. High production efficiency: The air-jet spinning speed is much faster than traditional ring spinning, which greatly improves production efficiency.
2. Save energy: The air-jet spinning equipment has a simple structure and low energy consumption.
3. Strong adaptability: Open-end spinning can produce yarns of different fibers and specifications, and has strong adaptability.
4. Stable product quality: The yarn produced by air-jet spinning has good uniformity and strength, and the product quality is stable.
However, air-jet spinning technology also has some limitations, such as greater damage to fibers and relatively poor gloss and softness of the yarn. Despite this, air-jet spinning technology still has broad application prospects in the textile industry.
